This post is MOSTLY for you Jessica. If you are looking to
build that Ice Palace this is the place to do it the scenery around here is
like an epic movie set. Seals on the ice that sometimes glows blue like a
precious rock as it floats by the ship water bubbling up around it, the
mountains climb up and up until their tips hit the snow where sometimes you can’t
tell if its snow or clouds, depending on the weather. When that sun comes out
you can see water spraying as ice falls off the glacier, if you look out past
the entrance to where the ship turns around sometimes you can see whales.
This place is just stunning
and I think you would love it here the way the wind blows sometimes is strong
enough to knock you off your feet it can get rough but it is almost one of the
most beautiful places I have ever seen. We will have to come up here someday
together maybe bring some of the old crew from college. The water is pristine,
there is one thing that I have yet to see and trust me when I get the chance I
am looking, I have not yet seen a sea otter…. I am taking plenty of photos that
I will post up eventually. I have to go get ready to do gangway duty for Juneau
that is always part two of the day for Tracy Arms Fjord I am positive this will
not be the last time I talk about this exotic ice garden.
