Juneau, the capital city.

The first port I was able to get off in was Juneau Alaska. I got off the boat with one of our DJ’s DJ Ron Roxstar. We got on the shuttle bus, even though I do want to walk the trek eventually, it was nice to have a ride the first time. Alright I’m going to describe something and I would like all of you to attempt it. Make a fist out of your right hand. Point your thumb down. Extend your pointer finger and bring out the half way knuckle point for the remaining fingers, do see what that is, it is Alaska. Juneau would about halfway down your thumb on the arm side, not the finger side. It is sunny, which is odd apparently, it is seventy degrees and oh boy I am happy I only wore my orange light hoodie because for Alaska this is HOT weather. I picked up a few free things from shops and bought part of a gift for Mommy, hear that Mom, I’m thinking of you.  Again I feel like everywhere I go I am on a movie set of some kind.  I was the first one to wash my hands at Glacier Smoothie (Silt) Soaps which is a brand new built shop that sells well soap.  The Gold Town Theatre is showing Don’t Stop Belivin a movie about Journey. I might come to see it next time I am town for now there are too many shops to explore.

Alright if you are looking to buy some great cookies and you don’t mind going to Juneau to get them. Silverbow Bagels is the place to be. After exploring a few more shops DJ and I went to get something to eat at a place he said had great fries, I decided to try out their mac and cheese which was a tad bit spicy for my liking but it was a nice change, and the fries were pretty good. Other then that while we were eating a newflash came on about “thunder in Juneau”, the waitress told us there hadn’t been thunderstorms since 2006 so this was a big deal for them, and then she looked out the window and dreamed about running out in the thick rain drops that would be coming down.  I told her she should try a summer in the Hudson valley we get plenty of rainstorms. I finished up my food and headed back to the ship because I had other duties to do. I shall return Juneau.
